The new year is often a time of goal setting for the coming year. My question for you today is: “What will be different this time when you’ve failed so many times in the past?” Failing could mean blowing up your trading account, busting a funding evaluation, ruining a funded account, or just having a bigger loss than your “max loss” parameters.
Regardless of what failure means to you, the solution is the same:
Dust yourself off and get back into the game.
The level of self-trust in these instances needs to be at its utmost. Because here’s the reality: You might fail again. And again. And again.
But you also need to trust the process. Trust that there is progress each step of the way. Even when you take a few steps back, also acknowledge how far you’ve come.
There will be stagnant times—where progress seems stalled or at a snail’s pace. 🐌
Keep going.
Continue to trust yourself that you are learning and growing toward your goal.
You’ve probably heard the story “3 feet from gold” as told in Think and Grow Rich. The miners gave up their search after they tried and tried to find the vein. As it turned out, if they had just continued digging for another 3 feet, they would have found the fortune they were seeking.
Keep going.
We’re only one week into the new year (and it was a short trading week at that). If you were profitable, awesome! Keep going. If you weren’t, ok! Keep going.
Take the weekend to reflect on what will be different this time as we embark on the adventure that will be 2024.

Thank you Mindie. for your words thats what motivate me to keep going. I dont know how but this year is going to be the year that Im going to start to be profitable thank you.
There were days and weeks in 2023 that I felt very despondent. Then, during the last quarter of the year I gained more profits than ever before! I am not feeling cocky or even elated. I am feeling great caution and humility. How the heck did all that happen? Is it sustainable? I have to stay totally fixed on the basics. Anything is possible. Only a few things are probable. Best of the year to you and your fresh plans.
